Avery Sinclair is the neglected eldest daughter of the Sinclair family. Her stepmother, Evelyn Sinclair, and sister, Peyton Sinclair, steal her medical papers and take credit for saving Carter Vance in Stonehaven. Having lost her memories, Avery returned home to seek her mother's belongings and unexpectedly reunites with Carter. However, Carter has mistaken Peyton for his savior and is engaged to her.
